These markets focus on predicting the outcome of a college football game between Auburn and Ole Miss, specifically analyzing how much one team might win by during the second half of play. Each market represents a different point spread threshold that determines whether a bet is successful.
The markets resolve based on the point differential in the second half (including overtime) of the Auburn vs Ole Miss college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if Ole Miss wins by more than a set number of points (ranging from 2.5 to 23.5), or if Auburn wins by more than a set number of points (ranging from 2.5 to 14.5), the respective market resolves to Yes. Only points scored in the second half and overtime count toward these thresholds. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven by individuals expressing their beliefs about the likely outcome. If many traders believe a particular spread is favorable, the price will move in that direction, potentially creating an edge compared to initial sportsbook offerings. However, sportsbook odds often incorporate factors like public perception and promotional offers, which may not be fully reflected in this market.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that spread occurring, as determined by supply and demand. As more traders buy contracts for a specific spread, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform facilitates this price discovery process, allowing traders to express their views and converge on a collective assessment of the likely outcome of the second half spread between Auburn and Ole Miss.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final point spread of the second half of the Auburn versus Ole Miss game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result as reported by a trusted sports data source. The market will determine which contracts pay out based on whether the actual point spread falls within the range specified by each contract. All winning contracts will be settled at a value of 100, while losing contracts will be worth zero.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Auburn or Ole Miss teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, especially if they suggest adverse conditions, could also shift expectations. Furthermore, in-game performance during the first half, or even pre-game reports on team strategies, could cause traders to adjust their positions, leading to price movements. Public sentiment and any late-breaking analysis from sports commentators could also contribute to volatility in this market.
