This set of markets tracks how many touchdowns each team scores through receptions in an upcoming college football matchup. It focuses specifically on offensive performance via the passing game, ignoring other scoring methods. The outcomes depend entirely on the game's statistical results.
All markets resolve based on the official number of receiving touchdowns scored by either Auburn or Georgia during the game, including any overtime periods. A receiving touchdown is defined as a touchdown where the player who catches the pass crosses the goal line with the ball. Touchdowns scored after a fumble recovery by another player do not count, unless the receiving player recovers their own fumble and scores. Successful two-point conversions, regardless of when they occur, are excluded from all calculations. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original time, all markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not begin within 48 hours of the scheduled start time, markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi explicitly states it has no official affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Generally, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines which are set by oddsmakers. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or attempt to balance their risk, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of people believe an outcome is more likely than implied by the sportsbook, the price in this market will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional sportsbooks in terms of accuracy, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing each outcome, and the price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand. As more people buy contracts for a particular outcome, its price increases, indicating a higher probability. Conversely, increased selling pressure lowers the price. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the collective assessment of all traders participating in the market, providing a real-time estimate of the likelihood of each scenario.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the number of receiving touchdowns scored by each team in the Auburn versus Georgia game will be used to determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and accurate determination of the results. Traders will be able to see the final result and any relevant supporting information on Kalshi following the game’s completion.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries on either the Auburn or Georgia teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favorable to passing or running, could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or team formations might also move the market. Finally, as the game draws closer, any shifts in public perception or expert analysis could lead to adjustments in the prices within this market.
