Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, prediction markets aim to be more directly reflective of true probabilities as determined by traders. This can lead to discrepancies, with this market potentially offering odds that differ from those available elsewhere. It's common to see prediction markets aggregate information and wisdom of the crowd more efficiently, potentially identifying mispriced opportunities that sportsbooks may have overlooked. However, sportsbook odds still represent a valuable data point for comparison.
