Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, reflecting their profit margin, and may be influenced by public betting patterns. This market, however, represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on team statistics and expert analysis, prediction markets can dynamically adjust as new information emerges and traders refine their assessments. Discrepancies between the two can sometimes present arbitrage opportunities.
