Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and analysis that might not be immediately priced into traditional sportsbook lines. While sportsbooks set initial odds based on statistical models and expert opinions, this market allows anyone to trade based on their own research or insights. This can lead to differences in probabilities, as the collective intelligence of traders on Polymarket may identify mispricings or anticipate events that sportsbooks haven’t fully accounted for. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than traditional betting venues.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the market price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the likelihood of either Atlas or CD Guadalajara scoring first. The market’s efficiency depends on the volume of trading and the diversity of opinions represented among traders, allowing for a dynamic and responsive price discovery process.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. It’s important to note that any goals scored during extra time or penalty shootouts will not be considered for the purpose of this market’s resolution, only goals scored during regular playing time are relevant.
