This set of markets focuses on whether a specific player will achieve various levels of rushing yardage in an upcoming football game. The outcomes depend entirely on the player's performance during the game, making it a straightforward test of athletic achievement.
Each market resolves based on whether Bucky Irving accumulates a specified minimum number of rushing yards in the full game, including any overtime periods. All contracts are designated as protected, meaning if Irving participates in at least one play during the first half but none after the first half (including overtime), the contract resolves to the fair price prior to kickoff unless he meets or exceeds the rushing yard threshold, in which case it settles based on actual statistics. If he participates in any play after the first half, the contract settles based on actual statistics regardless of first-half involvement. Participation in a play nullified by penalty does not count, and a player who never participates is subject to the fair price non-participation rule. The protected designation applies only to full-game contracts with an above or at-least payout criterion. Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on their own models and often adjust them to balance action, while this market is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs about the likely outcome. Often, prediction markets are more accurate than traditional forecasts, especially when there's significant public interest and active trading. However, sportsbook odds still provide a valuable benchmark for comparison, and discrepancies can present opportunities for informed traders.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official rushing yard totals from the Atlanta versus Tampa Bay game are verifiable from credible public reporting. The final result will be based on the official statistics released by the NFL. Traders who correctly predicted the rushing yard range will receive a payout based on the contract price at resolution. It’s important to stay informed about any potential game-day factors that could influence the final result.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding injuries to key running backs on either the Atlanta or Tampa Bay teams would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if rain or extreme temperatures are predicted, could also influence the expected rushing yard totals. Late-breaking news about coaching strategies or defensive matchups could also move the market. Finally, any significant shifts in public perception or expert analysis regarding the teams' offensive capabilities could drive trading activity and alter the prices.
