This market assesses the point differential in favor of either team during the second quarter of the football game. The result depends on whether Tampa Bay or Atlanta wins the quarter by more than specified point margins. Only points scored in the second quarter are considered.
The market resolves based on the point differential between Tampa Bay and Atlanta in the second quarter of their November 1, 2026 game. Multiple thresholds are defined for both teams, ranging from winning by over 1.5 points to over 10.5 points. If Tampa Bay wins the second quarter by more than any of its specified thresholds, that market resolves to Yes. Similarly, if Atlanta wins by more than any of its thresholds, its market resolves to Yes. Points scored outside the second quarter are irrelevant.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often aligning closely with, but sometimes diverging from, traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market represents the aggregated predictions of individual traders. If there's a significant difference between the two, it could indicate that the market believes the sportsbook has mispriced the probability of a particular outcome. It’s a useful comparison point for informed bettors, though it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, not guarantees.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the 2nd quarter spread. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that spread occurring. As more traders buy contracts predicting a specific outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants, continuously updating as new information becomes available and opinions shift. The current price indicates what the market believes is the most likely scenario.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final 2nd quarter spread of the Atlanta versus Tampa Bay game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics, as reported by a trusted sports data source. Traders who correctly predicted the spread will receive a payout based on the contract price at resolution, while those who predicted incorrectly will forfeit their investment. The final result will be publicly available on Kalshi following the game's conclusion.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries for either the Atlanta or Tampa Bay teams would likely cause shifts in the market price. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest adverse conditions, could also impact predictions. Furthermore, significant pre-game analysis from respected sports analysts, or even large trading volume from informed individuals on Kalshi, could all contribute to movement in the NFL 2nd quarter spread. Unexpected line movements in traditional sportsbooks could also influence trader behavior.
