Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook lines, it could indicate that traders possess information or insights not yet fully incorporated by sportsbooks, or vice-versa. It’s important to consider both when forming your own opinion.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event’s potential results. The current price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants on Polymarket.

This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be determined by the official result of the second half of the Atalanta BC versus Venezia FC match. This will be based on the official scoreline reported by the governing football league and widely available through sports news outlets. The outcome will be determined by which team scores more goals in the second half, or if the result is a draw.

Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Atalanta BC or Venezia FC would likely cause price movement. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected news related to the teams’ motivation or internal issues could also impact the market. Monitoring these factors may help you understand potential shifts in the probabilities reflected by this market.
