Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, being driven by collective prediction, tends to be more efficient and can sometimes offer better odds, especially when there is strong disagreement with public sentiment. However, sportsbook odds reflect the views of oddsmakers and a broader range of bettors, while this market represents the wisdom of the crowd specifically on Polymarket. It's valuable to compare both to gain a comprehensive understanding.
