Description

This market refers to the Counter-Strike match between Astralis and fnatic in the Stake Ranked Episode 5 Playoffs, initially scheduled for October 27, 2026 UTC. This market will resolve to "Astralis" if Astralis win the match against fnatic. This market will resolve to "fnatic" if fnatic win the match against Astralis. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before November 10, 2026, 23:59 UTC (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 27, 2026 UTC). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, or the team is renamed or rebranded, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Limitless allows traders to directly assess the probabilities. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly disagrees with the sportsbook's initial assessment. It’s common to see this market reflect information and opinions that aren't immediately priced into traditional betting lines, potentially offering an edge to informed traders.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand. As more people buy contracts predicting a specific result, the price increases, and the implied probability of that outcome rises. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd.

This market resolves around Oct 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Astralis vs fnatic match, as reported by the governing body or official tournament organizers. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result.

Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, team roster changes, or strategic shifts could significantly impact the perceived probabilities. Unexpected results in other matches involving these teams, or even broader developments within the competitive scene, could also cause shifts. Major announcements from the teams themselves, such as changes in coaching staff or training regimens, are also potential catalysts for price movement in this market.
