Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, often incorporating information and analysis not readily available to traditional sportsbooks. This can lead to differences in probabilities assigned to various outcomes. Sportsbooks may initially set odds based on statistical models and expert opinions, while this market evolves as participants react to news, injuries, and other factors influencing the game. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately reflect the true probabilities as the event approaches, though discrepancies can still occur.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their belief in whether Aston Villa will win by two or more goals. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand. Traders who believe the outcome is likely will bid up the price, while those who doubt it will offer to sell at a lower price. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants, providing a real-time assessment of the probability of the event occurring.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Aston Villa vs Brentford match is verifiable from credible public reporting.
