This prediction market asks users to forecast which team, Aston Villa or Brentford, will score more goals in the second half of a Premier League match, or if the second half will end in a draw. The markets exclude first-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs, focusing solely on regular play plus stoppage time in the second half.
In the upcoming Premier League game between Aston Villa FC and Brentford FC, scheduled for October 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET: This market will resolve to "Aston Villa FC" if Aston Villa FC score more goals than Brentford FC in the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. This market will resolve to "Draw" if Aston Villa FC and Brentford FC score the same number of goals in the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. This market will resolve to "Brentford FC" if Brentford FC score more goals than Aston Villa FC in the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Draw". This market refers only to the outcome within the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the differing incentives and information sources of participants. Sportsbooks primarily aim to set lines that balance betting volume and ensure profitability, while prediction markets rely on the collective intelligence of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This can lead to prediction markets reflecting a more nuanced and potentially more accurate assessment of probabilities. However, arbitrage opportunities may exist, allowing traders to profit from discrepancies between this market and those offered by sportsbooks. It's important to compare both to make informed decisions.
Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Differences in pricing between Polymarket and Predict for the Aston Villa vs. Brentford second half can arise from several factors. Each platform has its own user base, trading dynamics, and risk assessments, which influence how odds are set. Furthermore, the volume traded on each platform can vary significantly, impacting price discovery. While both markets address the same event, differing levels of information accessibility and individual trader biases can contribute to price discrepancies. These variations are normal in decentralized prediction markets and reflect the diverse perspectives of participants.
