Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks may initially set lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but are also influenced by factors like public betting patterns and risk management. This market, driven by informed PredictionHero traders, can potentially offer a different perspective on the probability of over three total goals. Discrepancies can arise from differing assumptions or access to unique information, making both sources valuable for informed decision-making.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing the outcome. The price of a contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of the event occurring. Traders set the odds by placing bids and asks, and the market price adjusts dynamically based on supply and demand. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price indicates what percentage of the outcome’s probability is already factored in by the market participants, and therefore what value remains for potential arbitrage or directional trading.

This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Aston Villa versus Manchester City match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the total number of goals scored by both teams combined during regulation time. Any extra time or penalty shootouts will not be considered. The official match result will serve as the definitive source for determining whether three or more goals were scored, and all contracts will be settled accordingly.

Several factors could influence this market leading up to the match. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Aston Villa or Manchester City would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact the style of play, could also shift the odds. Furthermore, any updates on team formations or tactical approaches revealed during pre-match press conferences could influence traders' assessments of the potential for a high-scoring game. Public sentiment and betting patterns could also play a role.
