Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, often leading to more accurate probabilities than those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or focus on attracting action, whereas this market incentivizes participants to express their true beliefs. However, discrepancies can occur due to differing risk appetites and information access between prediction market participants and sportsbook oddsmakers. It’s common to see this market adjust rapidly to new information, potentially surpassing sportsbook accuracy as the event approaches.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of the outcome. The price of a contract directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts dynamically, reflecting the evolving collective assessment of the event's likelihood. Currently, the market is driven by the expectation of whether Aston Villa and Brentford will exceed the 10-corner threshold.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the total number of corners awarded during the Aston Villa versus Brentford match will be tallied from official match data. If Aston Villa and Brentford accumulate 11 or more corners combined, the market will resolve in favor of the 'yes' outcome. Otherwise, it will resolve to 'no'. The final corner count will be sourced from official league statistics and verified for accuracy.

Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Late injury reports for key players known for winning corners could shift expectations. Changes in weather conditions, such as strong winds, might affect the style of play and the likelihood of corners being awarded. Pre-match team news regarding tactical approaches – for example, if one team is expected to play a more attacking style – could also move the market. Finally, any significant news regarding refereeing assignments, particularly referees known for awarding a high or low number of corners, could impact trading activity.
