Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their risk and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of forecasters who are incentivized to be accurate. Generally, prediction markets tend to be more accurate than traditional polls or analysts’ predictions, though sportsbook odds can provide a useful benchmark for understanding public perception. It’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, but are derived through different mechanisms and motivations.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome. The price of a contract reflects the market's current estimate of that outcome's probability. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly, creating a dynamic and responsive forecast. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means that the odds you see can change rapidly, especially as the Asian Games draw closer and more information emerges about team form and potential upsets.

This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The team that wins the gold medal in men's soccer at the 2026 Asian Games will be declared the winner of this market. Resolution will be based on the official results published by the Asian Games organizing committee and independently verified. The market will close prior to the final match to prevent any last-minute manipulation or influence from the game’s result.

Several factors could significantly impact this market. Major injuries to key players on leading teams, changes in coaching staff, or unexpected results in qualifying matches are all potential catalysts. News regarding team form, such as strong performances in friendly matches or domestic leagues, could also shift the odds. Furthermore, any geopolitical events or unforeseen circumstances that might affect the participation of certain countries could cause substantial movement in this market. Keep an eye on sports news and team updates for the most relevant signals.
