Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market allows traders to express their independent beliefs about the probability of each outcome. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing an outcome, they can take the opposite position in this market, driving the odds closer to what they perceive as the true probability. It's common to see discrepancies, especially early on, as the market gathers information and adjusts.
