In the upcoming match between AS Roma and US Sassuolo Calcio, scheduled for November 7, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET: This market will resolve to "AS Roma" if AS Roma are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "US Sassuolo Calcio" if US Sassuolo Calcio are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Serie A (https://www.legaseriea.it/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and perspectives not fully captured by traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, potentially leading to odds that diverge from those offered by sportsbooks. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions on team form, player availability, or even less quantifiable factors like team morale. It's common to see prediction markets react more quickly to breaking news than sportsbooks do.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective intelligence of the crowd. The market's price is driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe AS Roma will score first, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa.
This market resolves around Nov 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team scores the first goal in the second half of the AS Roma vs Sassuolo match. The result will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources. The resolution process relies on publicly available information to ensure an accurate and transparent outcome for all participants in this market.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either AS Roma or Sassuolo would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team form, such as a surprising result in a recent match, could also shift expectations. Tactical announcements from either manager, like a change in formation or starting lineup, could impact the perceived likelihood of each team scoring first. Even weather conditions on match day could play a role, influencing the style of play and potentially affecting the outcome of this market.
