In the upcoming match between AS Roma and US Sassuolo Calcio, scheduled for November 7, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET: This market will resolve to "AS Roma" if AS Roma are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "US Sassuolo Calcio" if US Sassuolo Calcio are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time. Second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Serie A (https://www.legaseriea.it/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to freely buy and sell shares based on their own analysis and information. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing a particular outcome, they can drive the price on Polymarket to reflect that belief. This dynamic can lead to odds discrepancies, with prediction markets sometimes proving more accurate than traditional methods, particularly as the event approaches.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether AS Roma or US Sassuolo will score first in the first half. The price of each share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price fluctuates based on supply and demand, meaning increased buying pressure will raise the price, indicating a higher perceived probability, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic and responsive pricing system.
This market resolves around Nov 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which team, AS Roma or US Sassuolo, scores the first goal during the first half of the match. The official match records will serve as the basis for determining the winning outcome. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment. The result will be publicly available shortly after the first half concludes.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Nov 7, 2026. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either AS Roma or US Sassuolo would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced by the managers could also shift market sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-match analysis from reputable football experts, could also contribute to price movements. Furthermore, large volume trades on Polymarket could indicate informed activity and trigger further price adjustments.
