PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict define the resolution criteria identically, focusing on the first goal scored within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time.Primary resolution logic: Official match statistics as recognized by the governing body or event organizers, with fallback sources (Flashscore, Sofascore, credible reporting).

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the outcome.
  • If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, the market resolves to "Neither".
  • Postponed matches will remain open until completed.
  • Canceled matches resolve to "Neither".

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the match's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore will be used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting will be used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market will resolve 50-50 (or to "Draw" where applicable).
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made *after* market resolution will not be accounted for.
Timing: Resolution will occur as soon as official match statistics are available, with a maximum delay of 24 hours after the match's conclusion, potentially resolving to a 50-50 split if data remains unavailable. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. Prediction markets, however, are driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. This can lead to odds that more accurately reflect the true probability of an event, especially as more information becomes available. The spread between prediction market prices and sportsbook odds can sometimes be significant, presenting potential arbitrage opportunities.

Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Price discrepancies between Polymarket and Predict on this market can arise due to variations in trader demographics, market-making activity, and differing levels of information available to each platform’s user base. Trading volume also plays a role; lower volume on one platform can lead to greater price swings and divergence. Additionally, each platform may have slightly different risk assessments or interpretations of available pre-match data related to the AS Roma vs. Real Madrid fixture, influencing the odds offered for the first team to score.
