If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, often differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market aims to represent the true probability of each outcome as perceived by traders. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when there's significant public interest or disagreement about the likely result. Comparing this market to sportsbook odds can offer a valuable perspective on where the crowd believes the value lies in predicting the final score.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective assessment of the match’s potential results, driven by informed traders.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the AS Roma vs. Genoa match is verifiable from credible public reporting. Traders holding shares in the correct exact score will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either AS Roma or Genoa CFC would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Tactical announcements from either manager, such as confirmed starting lineups or changes in formation, could also impact the market. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even significant pre-match analysis from reputable soccer commentators, have the potential to move this market as traders react to new information and adjust their predictions.
