Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs. If a significant number of people believe a sportsbook is mispricing a team’s chances, the odds on Polymarket will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional sportsbooks over time, especially when there’s strong public sentiment or access to unique information influencing traders.
This market resolves around Oct 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team—AS Monaco FC or SC Freiburg—scores the first goal in the match. The result will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources. Any potential disputes regarding the outcome will be handled by Polymarket’s internal procedures, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution process.
