This set of markets tracks how many points each team scores in an upcoming college football game. Each market corresponds to a specific point threshold for a team, determining whether they exceed that threshold during the match. Outcomes are based solely on the official game result.
All markets resolve based on the official final point totals for Army and Tulsa in their college football game scheduled for October 23, 2026. For each market, if the specified team scores more than the stated point threshold (e.g., Tulsa over 13.5 points), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of the original start time, the markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants regardless of the specific point thresholds defined in individual markets.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market aggregates the predictions of many individual traders. As more information becomes available – such as injury reports or weather forecasts – and as the event approaches, the prices in this market tend to converge with those offered by sportsbooks, though discrepancies can still occur. It's common to see prediction markets offering more accurate probabilities, particularly closer to the event date.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Army-Tulsa team total will be over or under a certain number. The price of a contract represents the probability of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price fluctuates, reflecting the collective assessment of the likelihood of different team total scores. The market dynamically adjusts to new information and changing sentiment, providing a real-time gauge of expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final team totals for Army and Tulsa are verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official scores recorded by the governing body of college football. The market will determine whether the combined score of both teams exceeds or falls below the implied threshold based on the contract prices at the time of closure. All trading will cease once the event has concluded and the official results are available.
Several factors could significantly influence the price of this market. Key player injuries on either the Army or Tulsa teams would likely cause substantial shifts, as would any significant changes in weather forecasts for the game location. Unexpected coaching decisions or late-breaking news regarding team morale could also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, any public statements from analysts or experts offering strong opinions on the likely game outcome could contribute to price movements. Monitoring these signals closely will be crucial for understanding potential shifts in this market.
