This set of markets tracks various scoring thresholds for the first half of a college football game between Army and Memphis. Each threshold represents a different point total that, if exceeded by the combined scores of both teams, determines the outcome of that specific market.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the first half of the Army vs Memphis college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026. For each market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold (e.g., 2.5, 6.5, 9.5 points, etc.), the market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of the original start time, the markets remain active and resolve according to the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets will resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants regardless of the specific threshold being wagered upon.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by analysts, while this market’s odds are determined by the collective predictions of traders. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when public opinion shifts. Comparing the two can provide a more comprehensive understanding of the expected outcome, though it's important to remember they represent different methodologies for forecasting the result of the Army vs Memphis 1st half.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the total points scored in the first half of the Army vs Memphis game. The price of a contract ranges from 0 to 100, representing the probability of the 'Yes' outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy 'Yes' contracts, the price increases, indicating a growing belief that the total will be over the implied line. Conversely, selling 'Yes' contracts lowers the price. The market dynamically adjusts to reflect the aggregated predictions of all participants.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official result of the first half total points scored in the Army vs Memphis game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics, and the market will settle based on whether the total points scored exceed or fall below the implied line represented by the contract prices at the time of closure. Traders holding contracts on the correct outcome will receive a payout of 100 cents per contract, while those holding contracts on the incorrect outcome will receive nothing.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries for either the Army or Memphis teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also shift the market. Public betting trends and analysis from sports commentators could also influence trader sentiment. Finally, any late-breaking news or unexpected developments related to the game itself could cause substantial movement in this market up until the first half ends.
