This set of markets tracks how many touchdowns are caught by players during a college football game between Arkansas and Vanderbilt. Each market focuses on a specific threshold of receiving touchdowns for either team, determining whether they meet or exceed that number.
All markets resolve based on the total number of receiving touchdowns scored by each team in the Arkansas vs Vanderbilt college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026, including any overtime periods. A receiving touchdown is counted only when the player who catches the pass scores himself; if another player recovers a fumble and scores, it does not count as a receiving touchdown. Successful two-point conversions, regardless of when they occur, are excluded from all counts. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own research and beliefs. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook lines, it could indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular outcome. It’s common to see prediction markets become more accurate closer to the event as more information becomes available.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market's assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective intelligence of the group. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price represents the cost to purchase a contract that pays out $1 if the outcome is correct, and the implied probability is derived from this price. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for real-time adjustments based on new information and changing sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on which team scores the most touchdowns in the Arkansas vs Vanderbilt football game. The final touchdown count will be sourced from official game statistics and verified against reliable sports news outlets. The market will then pay out to those who correctly predicted the team with the most touchdowns, based on the final price of the winning contract at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries on either the Arkansas or Vanderbilt teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, especially if they suggest adverse playing conditions, could also impact the market. Furthermore, late-breaking news about coaching strategies or team morale could shift trader sentiment. Even public polling data or expert analysis predicting a change in the game's likely outcome could contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
