These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the second half of an upcoming college football game, including any overtime periods. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the second half (including overtime) of the Arkansas vs Vanderbilt college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the threshold, the market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. For all markets, only points scored in the second half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action on both sides and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective wisdom of traders predicting the actual outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, analytical approaches, or simply variations in opinion. It’s common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information becomes available or as the event draws closer. Comparing the two can offer valuable insights into public perception versus informed prediction.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the 2nd half total. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy 'over' contracts, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived chance of exceeding 13.5 points. Conversely, increased selling of 'over' contracts drives the price down. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities in real-time, making it a forward-looking indicator of the event’s potential outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, following the completion of the Arkansas versus Vanderbilt football game. The outcome will be determined by the official, final total points scored in the second half of the game, as verified against credible public reporting. The platform will then confirm whether the total exceeded or fell short of 13.5 points, triggering the payout of contracts based on the final result. Traders holding contracts on the correct side will receive a payout, while those on the incorrect side will forfeit their investment.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries on either the Arkansas or Vanderbilt teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also shift the market. Late-breaking news about coaching strategies or team morale could also play a role. Finally, large volume trades on Kalshi itself, driven by informed traders, can quickly move the price as they express their convictions about the likely outcome of the 2nd half total.
