This set of markets tracks how decisively either team wins during the final quarter of a college football game, focusing specifically on the point differential achieved in that timeframe. Outcomes are determined solely by points scored in the fourth quarter, excluding any overtime periods.
All markets resolve based exclusively on points scored during the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Arkansas vs Texas A&M college football game scheduled for Oct 3, 2026. Each market corresponds to a specific point differential threshold that must be exceeded by either team to resolve as 'Yes'. If Texas A&M wins by more than the specified margin in the 4th quarter, the relevant Texas A&M market resolves to Yes; if Arkansas achieves the required margin, the corresponding Arkansas market resolves to Yes. Markets remain open if the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, resolving based on the final 4th-quarter result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored during regulation 4th-quarter play count—overtime points are excluded from all calculations.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from initial sportsbook lines due to varying information and incentives. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and guarantee profit, while this market allows traders to express their independent beliefs about the likely outcome. Typically, as an event approaches, the prices in this market tend to converge with those offered by sportsbooks, though discrepancies can still occur based on differing opinions and the unique dynamics of each venue. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate new information more rapidly than traditional odds.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that spread occurring, as perceived by the market participants. Traders are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome, leading to efficient price discovery. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand; if more traders believe Arkansas will cover a particular spread, the price of contracts representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic process creates a real-time assessment of the likely fourth quarter spread.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final fourth quarter spread of the Arkansas vs Texas A&M game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result reported by the governing sports body, ensuring an objective and transparent determination of the winning contracts. Traders will be able to see the final spread and whether their predictions aligned with the actual game result following the conclusion of the event. The outcome will be determined by the point difference at the end of the fourth quarter.
Several factors could influence the price of contracts in this market. News regarding injuries to key players on either the Arkansas or Texas A&M teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring one team's style of play, could also impact predictions. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or team morale could also shift the market. Finally, any significant shifts in public perception, reflected in polls or expert analysis, may influence trading activity and alter the price of this market.
