This event tracks various thresholds of points scored in the second half of a college football game, allowing participants to assess the likelihood of different scoring levels. The outcome depends solely on the combined points both teams achieve after halftime, including any overtime periods.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the second half (including overtime) of the specified college football game. Each market has a unique threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the stated threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored after halftime count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before significant events or when public opinion diverges from expert analysis. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive understanding of the likely outcome, and potentially identify value in either market. Remember that this market represents the collective forecast of PredictionHero users.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different possible outcomes for the Arizona vs West Virginia 2nd half. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the latest information and collective beliefs. The current price indicates what traders are willing to pay for exposure to a specific outcome, and therefore represents a probabilistic forecast.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the second half of the Arizona vs West Virginia game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official statistics published by the relevant sporting authority. The market will determine whether the total points scored in the second half falls above or below the threshold defined by the market contracts. The final result will be reported on Kalshi following official confirmation.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Arizona or West Virginia team would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they affect the style of play, could also shift the market. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or team lineups could also cause price fluctuations. Finally, large volume trades on Kalshi itself, driven by informed traders, can quickly move the market in either direction.
