These markets evaluate the total points scored by both teams in the second half of an upcoming college football game, including any overtime periods. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the second half (including overtime) of the Arizona vs Texas Tech college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold (ranging from 2.5 to 41.5 points); if the combined second-half points exceed the threshold, the market resolves to Yes. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored in the second half count toward these markets.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially early on, as the prediction market may incorporate information or perspectives that sportsbooks haven’t fully accounted for. However, as the event approaches, these odds often converge as more information becomes available and trading volume increases.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final point total scored in the second half of the Arizona vs Texas Tech game will be used to determine whether the Over or Under contract wins. The official game statistics, as reported by a recognized sports data provider, will serve as the basis for verifying the result. Traders will be able to see the resolution details on Kalshi once the outcome is officially confirmed.
Several factors could influence the price of contracts in this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Arizona or Texas Tech teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in the weather forecast could also impact the scoring potential, especially if conditions are expected to be particularly favorable or unfavorable for passing or running. Furthermore, in-game performance during the first half, and any adjustments to strategy by the coaches, could all shift trader sentiment and lead to price fluctuations in this market.
