This set of markets tracks how many points Arizona State and BYU score together in the second quarter of their college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to settle the outcome.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the second quarter of the Arizona St. vs BYU college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026. For each market, if the combined second-quarter points exceed the specified threshold (e.g., 2.5, 5.5, up to 27.5 points), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the actual result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored during the second quarter count, and Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA.
Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. This can lead to discrepancies, with prediction markets sometimes offering more accurate probabilities, especially when there's significant public information available. However, sportsbook odds still provide a valuable benchmark for understanding the broader expectations surrounding the Arizona St vs BYU game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of a specific outcome – in this case, whether the total points scored in the 2nd quarter will be over or under a certain threshold. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders believe an outcome is likely, the price of contracts representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism reflects the evolving expectations of the crowd.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official total points scored in the second quarter of the Arizona St vs BYU game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics and used to determine whether the 'over' or 'under' contracts will pay out. Traders will then receive their payouts based on the final outcome and their positions in this market.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries for either Arizona St or BYU would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also shift the market. Even public perception, driven by expert analysis or social media sentiment, can influence trader behavior and move the price of contracts. Any updates related to team strategies or coaching decisions could also contribute to movement in this market.
