Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often include a 'vig' or commission, which builds a profit margin into the odds. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective predictions of traders, potentially offering more accurate probabilities, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, this market dynamically adjusts based on the wisdom of the crowd, potentially identifying discrepancies or overlooked factors that sportsbooks haven’t fully accounted for.
