Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of bettors, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, leading to adjustments based on new information or changing sentiment. It’s common to see differences emerge, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. Comparing the two can provide a broader understanding of the expected outcome and potential value in either market.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the price fluctuates, reflecting the evolving consensus. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price is driven entirely by supply and demand; if more people believe Antigua GFC will score first, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice-versa. This creates a dynamic and responsive pricing system.
This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
