Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, which can sometimes differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the teams' strengths and weaknesses. It’s common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information becomes available.

On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand from users trading on Polymarket, and doesn’t reflect external factors or opinions beyond those expressed through trading activity.

Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, suspensions, or changes in team tactics could significantly impact the perceived probabilities. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-match commentary from analysts, could also cause shifts. Furthermore, large trades by individual users on Polymarket can create short-term price movements, and overall sentiment regarding the teams’ form could drive sustained changes in the market.
