Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own analysis and aim to balance betting action, while this market aggregates the predictions of many individuals. If a significant number of people believe an outcome is more likely than the sportsbook suggests, the prediction market odds will shift accordingly. This can sometimes lead to prediction markets being more accurate than traditional sportsbooks, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available.
