In the upcoming Netherlands Eerste Divisie game between Almere City FC and FC Volendam, scheduled for October 3, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Almere City FC vs. FC Volendam match originally scheduled for October 3, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd approach, often differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks incorporate a profit margin into their odds, while this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs about the outcome. If a significant difference exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise. However, it’s common to see convergence as the event nears, with both reflecting the most up-to-date information and public sentiment. It's important to compare the implied probabilities to those offered by sportsbooks to assess potential value in this market.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the probability of that score occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders believe a particular outcome is likely, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants, providing a forward-looking assessment of the match’s potential result.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Unexpected announcements related to the match, such as a change in venue or kickoff time, could also contribute to movement. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for understanding how this market evolves.
