Prediction market odds often offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on statistical models and public betting patterns, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. As a result, prediction markets can sometimes identify discrepancies or inefficiencies in sportsbook lines, potentially offering more accurate probabilities. It’s common to see differences emerge, especially as new information becomes available and traders react to it.
