Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the 'wisdom of the crowd,' potentially differing from initial sportsbook lines which may be influenced by factors like public perception or sharp action. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their risk, while this market allows traders to express their own probabilities. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, it could indicate that prediction market participants believe the sportsbook is mispricing the likelihood of both teams scoring in the Algeria vs Niger match. However, these differences can fluctuate as new information becomes available.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of 'Both Teams to Score' in the Algeria vs Niger match. The price of a contract ranges from 0 to 100, representing the implied probability of the event occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders' actions – their willingness to buy or sell at certain prices – directly influence the market price, reflecting their collective assessment of the likelihood of both teams finding the net. The more traders believe both teams will score, the higher the price will climb.
This market resolves around Oct 6, 2026, following the completion of the Algeria vs Niger match. The outcome will be determined by whether both teams score at least one goal during the match. The result will be verified against credible public reporting of the official match statistics. Traders holding contracts on the 'Yes' side will receive a payout if both teams score, while those holding contracts on the 'No' side will receive a payout if one or both teams fail to score. The final outcome is based solely on the official match result.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Oct 6, 2026. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Algeria or Niger would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team form, such as a recent string of high-scoring or low-scoring games, could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-match tactical announcements from the managers, might cause the market to react. Ultimately, any information that alters the perceived probability of both teams scoring will likely move the price.
