This market tracks whether any of the listed golfers finish among the top five positions in the 2026 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. The outcome depends on each golfer's performance relative to their peers during the tournament.
Each market resolves to "Yes" if the specified golfer finishes in the top five positions (including ties) at the 2026 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. If a golfer forfeits, withdraws, or does not participate, the market resolves to "Fair Market Price" if the withdrawal occurs before teeing off, and to "No" if after teeing off. Kalshi disclaims any official affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, often incorporating information not readily available to traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbook odds are set by professional oddsmakers, this market allows anyone to participate and express their beliefs about the likely outcome. As a result, you may observe differences between the two, particularly in situations where there's strong public sentiment or specialized knowledge influencing trading activity. It's common to see prediction markets more accurately reflect probabilities as the event nears, though discrepancies can occur.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final leaderboard of the Alfred Dunhill Championship is verifiable from credible public reporting. The golfers who actually finish within the top 5 will determine the winning contracts. The official results published by the tournament organizers will be used to verify the outcome. Traders holding contracts for the correct top 5 finishers will be paid out according to the contract's value at resolution, while those holding losing contracts will forfeit their investment.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding golfer injuries, changes in form during practice rounds, or even weather forecasts affecting playing conditions could cause shifts in probabilities. Unexpected strong performances from lesser-known golfers during the early rounds of the tournament could also lead to increased trading activity and price adjustments. Furthermore, any significant media coverage or expert analysis highlighting a particular player's chances could influence market sentiment and drive contract prices higher or lower.
