Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals trading based on their own research and beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced the fight, they can express that view by trading on Polymarket, potentially causing the odds to diverge from those offered by sportsbooks. It's important to compare both to gain a comprehensive understanding.
