Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, potentially leading to different probabilities. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both platforms. However, it’s important to remember that sportsbooks and prediction markets have different costs and risk tolerances, which can contribute to these differences.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a specific exact score. The price of each share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the share price will climb, and vice-versa. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the market participants, constantly adjusting as new information becomes available and opinions shift.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Albirex Niigata vs. Kataller Toyama match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact score at the end of regulation time will determine the winning outcome in this market. Any extra time or penalty shootouts will not be considered. The resolution will be based on official sources and widely available match results, ensuring a transparent and verifiable outcome for all traders.
