This event tracks the total points scored by both teams during a specific quarter of a college football game. Bettors predict whether the combined score will exceed certain thresholds, offering varying levels of difficulty and potential payout. The outcome depends solely on the official game result for that quarter.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the second quarter of the Alabama vs Tennessee college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026. Each market has a different threshold (ranging from 2.5 to 27.5 points); if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold, the market resolves to 'Yes.' Only points scored during the second quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often proving more accurate than initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their odds to attract balanced betting and build in a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their own capital at risk, incentivizing more accurate predictions. While sportsbook odds are readily available, they don't always capture the nuanced perspectives found within a prediction market like this one. Discrepancies can emerge due to differing information access or analytical approaches.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official score for the second quarter of the Alabama versus Tennessee game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final point total scored in the second quarter will determine which contracts pay out, and at what rate. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will receive a payout based on the contract's price at resolution. The market’s resolution is based on the official game statistics.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Alabama or Tennessee would likely cause significant price movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring one team's offensive style, could also impact the market. Furthermore, as kickoff approaches, any late-breaking news or analysis from sports commentators could shift trader sentiment. Even in-game events during the first quarter could influence expectations for the second quarter, leading to further adjustments in this market.
