Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict utilize identical resolution criteria, focusing on the second half goal difference and a defined fallback data hierarchy.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers.

Core resolution logic:

  • The market resolves based on the number of goals scored by each team in the second half of regular play plus any stoppage time.
  • Al Shabab wins if they score more goals than Al Faisaly in the second half.
  • Al Faisaly wins if they score more goals than Al Shabab in the second half.
  • The market resolves to a draw if both teams score the same number of goals in the second half.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Postponement: If the game is postponed, the market remains open until the game is completed.
  • Cancellation: If the game is canceled entirely with no make-up game, the market resolves to a draw.
  • Data Availability: If official statistics aren't available within 2 hours, Flashscore is used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore is used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting is used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves to a draw.
Timing: The market will resolve once the second half of the match (including any added stoppage time) has concluded and the official result is available, or within 24 hours if fallback sources are required. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the differing incentives and information sources. Sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, factoring in a margin for themselves, while prediction markets are driven by individuals wagering their own capital. This can lead to prediction markets reflecting a more accurate assessment of probabilities, especially as new information emerges. However, sportsbooks often have stricter limits on bet sizes and faster payouts. This market demonstrates how collective intelligence can create alternative pricing signals.
