If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as more information becomes available. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the teams' strengths and weaknesses. It’s useful to compare both to gain a broader perspective.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the match's likely result. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are influenced by factors like team news, injuries, and pre-match analysis, all synthesized through the actions of traders on the platform.
This market resolves around Oct 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Al Sadd vs. Al Arabi match – specifically, the exact scoreline – will be used to determine the winning outcome in this market. Any official changes or corrections to the scoreline announced by the governing football league will be considered in the resolution process. Traders will be able to claim their winnings based on the verified final score.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before the match concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Al Sadd or Al Arabi would likely cause shifts in the odds. Unexpected changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before kickoff could also influence trading activity. Furthermore, real-time updates during the match itself – such as early goals, red cards, or significant momentum swings – will undoubtedly lead to rapid adjustments in the probabilities reflected in this market. Public sentiment and expert analysis leading up to the game can also play a role.
