Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the nature of how each is determined. Sportsbooks set lines based on internal models and aim to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets are driven by the wisdom of the crowd. This market’s odds reflect the aggregated beliefs of informed traders, potentially incorporating unique information or perspectives not fully captured by sportsbooks. Generally, prediction markets are considered highly efficient and can sometimes offer more accurate forecasts than traditional methods, though discrepancies can occur based on market volume and public perception.
