Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market is driven by individuals freely trading based on their own information and beliefs. If a significant discrepancy exists between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook lines, it might indicate that the market perceives information differently than the sportsbook, or that one venue has attracted a disproportionate amount of informed traders. It’s valuable to compare both to form a well-rounded perspective.
