Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined first-half points exceed the stated threshold (e.g., 2.5, 6.5, 9.5 points, etc.), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored in the first half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. All markets are independent, with each threshold evaluated separately.
Prediction market odds, like those found on this market, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the nature of how they are determined. Sportsbooks set lines based on internal models and aim to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets rely on the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This can lead to prediction markets being more accurate, particularly when there’s significant information asymmetry or a strong public sentiment that sportsbooks haven’t fully accounted for. The volume on this market is currently $243,950, indicating considerable interest.
