Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks may set initial lines based on power rankings and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs about the game's outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of trading activity. It's common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information, such as injuries or lineup changes, than traditional sportsbooks.
