Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which can be influenced by house biases or initial public perception. Sportsbooks may set lines to attract betting action, while this market relies on traders directly expressing their beliefs about the outcome. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or new information emerges. Observing these differences can offer insights into where the crowd and professional oddsmakers diverge in their assessments of the likely result.
