Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe scheduled for October 27 2026 at 10:30 AM ET in Afghanistan and Zimbabwe in the UAE T20s. The outcome corresponding to Afghanistan will be considered correct if Afghanistan is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Zimbabwe will be considered correct if Zimbabwe is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular outcome for the Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe T20 toss, they can take the opposite position, driving the price on Polymarket towards what they perceive as the true probability. This dynamic can lead to interesting discrepancies between the two.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe T20 toss. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a probability estimate. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived likelihood of that outcome occurring. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the traders on the platform.

This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe T20 toss is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be determined by which team wins the toss in the match. The platform will then verify this information against trusted sources to finalize the settlement of the market. Traders holding shares in the correctly predicted outcome will receive a payout, while those holding shares in the incorrect outcome will forfeit their stake.

Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market before Nov 3, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries or changes in team form for either Afghanistan or Zimbabwe could shift trader sentiment. Weather forecasts for the match location in the UAE are also a key consideration, as conditions might favor one team’s batting or bowling style. Unexpected announcements about pitch conditions or strategic changes could also cause significant movement. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of the teams’ chances of winning the toss will likely impact the price of shares on Polymarket.
