PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict use identical resolution criteria, including the 90-minute timeframe, tiebreaker sources, and handling of postponements/cancellations.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers.

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the winner.
  • If no team scores within the specified timeframe, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Postponed matches extend the market until completion.
  • Canceled matches resolve to 'Neither'.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours, Flashscore is used, then Sofascore, and finally a consensus of credible reporting. If no data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 (or to 'Draw' where applicable).
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores after market resolution are not considered.
Timing: Resolution occurs immediately after the conclusion of the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, contingent on official data availability as described above. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to profit from imbalances, while prediction markets aggregate individual beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when significant information isn't widely reflected in sportsbook lines. However, both aim to accurately forecast the probability of an event, and arbitrage opportunities may arise when substantial differences exist between the two.

Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Price discrepancies between Polymarket and Predict on this market can arise from several factors. Different user bases on each platform may have varying levels of expertise or access to information regarding team form, injuries, or tactical approaches. Trading volume also plays a role; lower volume on one platform can lead to greater price volatility and divergence. Furthermore, the specific mechanisms for price discovery – how traders set the odds by buying and selling – may differ slightly between Polymarket and Predict, contributing to these observed price differences. These factors all influence how the Bournemouth vs. Sturm Graz first-to-score market is valued on each platform.

Several signals could significantly move this market before it resolves. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either AFC Bournemouth or SK Puntigamer Sturm Graz would likely impact the probabilities. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before the match could also shift trader sentiment. Even weather conditions on match day, potentially affecting playing style, could influence trading activity. Unexpected news related to team morale or internal conflicts could also contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
