Frequently asked questions

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks frequently incorporate factors like public betting percentages and promotional offers, which can skew the odds away from a pure assessment of the event’s probability. This market, driven by informed traders, aims to represent a more accurate forecast of the second half's result. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, analytical approaches, and risk assessments between prediction markets and sportsbooks. It’s important to note that prediction markets can sometimes be more efficient at incorporating new information quickly.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing each possible outcome – AD Tarma winning, FC Cajamarca winning, or a draw – and the prices of these shares fluctuate based on supply and demand. As more traders believe AD Tarma is likely to win, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price reflects the collective wisdom of the crowd, attempting to represent the true probability of each outcome occurring in the second half.

This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the second half – whether AD Tarma wins, FC Cajamarca wins, or the half ends in a draw – will be determined based on the official match results reported by a recognized sporting authority. The platform will then verify the outcome against these sources to finalize the market and distribute payouts to winning traders. The official score at the end of the second half is the determining factor.

Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either AD Tarma or FC Cajamarca would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before the match could also shift probabilities. Unexpected weather conditions at the match venue, or even significant momentum shifts observed in the first half of the game, could prompt traders to reassess their positions. Public sentiment and analysis from sports commentators could also contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
